check itunesU

I searched for Persian Wars and there are a couple of Universities that have podcasts for the Persian Wars as well as Persian and Greek history - a good idea to consider the wars from the Persian perspective!

In addition, these unis have heaps of stuff on the Peloponnesian Wars - that is what we study after the Persian Wars and you have an essay test on it... get downloading, girls! It is all free!

So I found this video...

It may be useful for anyone thinking about doing the battle of Thermopylae. The website looks like it may have some good information about the Persian Wars in general as well, so you might be able to grab some stuff from it. Enjoy. :)

Have you missed me????

So I'm sitting here on this lovely summer evening in Wimbledon watching the FIFA World Cup, and I just made an interesting little observation.

Remember Nero and his professional clappers? Well geuss what the North Korean Football team has? PROFESSIONAL SYCHRONISED CLAPPERS! How cool!! They even have their own conductor!

Anyway, thought you guys missed my input in class, so i wanted to tell you what kind of school work I've been doing these past few days ... (none except watching professional clappers).

Photo's from the Brit Museum will be up soon, including photos of Ancient Persian armour and weaponary! And of mummified cats, how cute reeooww!
Oh and Ms. O, I got you a present muahaha.

Anyway cheerio, enjoy your holidays.
Love Nadia

(p.s. it just took a lot of will power to not talk more about the wittle mummified cats, i'll save it for when I get back)
