Piccie-wiccies.
Got back from the UK last week, so I thought I should post some photos I took at the British Museum while I was there. I was surprised we were allowed to take photos at all!! The collection was quite impressive, and the way the artifacts were catalogued and presented was pretty interesting as well. I've got a museum map and information booklet I'll bring in to class next time I see you guys. Anyway, it's not much, but enjoy. xx
The plaque says the head was decapitated and buried after an attack by armies from modern-day Sudan; an act intending to destroy the head and shame Augustus, but which inadvertently preserved the statue.

check itunesU
I searched for Persian Wars and there are a couple of Universities that have podcasts for the Persian Wars as well as Persian and Greek history - a good idea to consider the wars from the Persian perspective!
In addition, these unis have heaps of stuff on the Peloponnesian Wars - that is what we study after the Persian Wars and you have an essay test on it... get downloading, girls! It is all free!
